Fence is up, eucalyptus are planted, dahlias are sprouting

A few updates from the farm:

We put up a fence. We didn't do this last year but were nervous about deer (they tend to steer clear of dahlias unless they are desperate) and other animals -  we had some fox and groundhog action and wanted to make sure to keep the big animals out.

We used deer netting so all you can see really are the large posts.

We also planted 90 Eucalyptus plugs at our outpost (aka Jan's house). We ordered the plugs rather than start them from seed because eucalyptus are fussy and we wanted to get a solid start for them.

The dahlias on the big field are happy - the three rows that we planted first are almost all up, and the last 3 rows that were planted a week later are getting there.

Next step - setting up a drip line.

Talk soon!
